Pool Policies

Definitions:

  • Adult:  An adult is a person 18 years of age or older
  • Child:  A child is a person under the age of 18

Eligibility:

  • Stockholders/Summer Members whose dues are paid in full are eligible to use the pool.  Guests are admitted by the pool manager for a fee of $5.00 and must be accompanied by a member/stockholder. 
  • No one will be admitted into the aquatic club except pool members, qualified guests, swim team or swim lesson participants. 
  • Non-member swim lesson or swim team participants are only allowed on premises 15 min. before practice/lessons and are required to leave the aquatic club immediately after their lesson/swim practice. 

All Stockholders/Summer Member guests must pay a fee of $5.00 a day.

Registration:

All members must sign themselves in and register guests upon entering the pool.

Safety Rules:  Main Pool

  1. No running.
  2. Only one person on the diving board at a time.
  3. No swimming under the diving board while persons are diving.
  4. No boisterous conduct or offensive splashing, dunking, horseplay or cursing.
  5. No unauthorized person and no children are allowed in pump house.
  6. Diving is allowed only beyond 5 foot mark.
  7. Do not talk to the lifeguards.
  8. No large floats or large rings.
  9. Only Board-authorized electrical appliances are allowed within the pool area.
  10. Sound from radios should be audible only to person in close range of their radio.
  11.  Water toys are allowed at the discretion of the manager.
  12.  No food or drink allowed in pool.
  13.  Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
  14.  No Smoking.

Safety Rules: Baby Pool

  1. No one over the age of 6, except parents/caretakers are allowed in the baby pool.
  2. An adult must supervise their children in the baby pool at all times.
  3. There is no lifeguard posted at the baby pool.  Supervision of children at the baby pool is the sole responsibility of the supervising adult.
  4. An adult shall be within arm’s reach of any child under the age of 2.
  5. Children should not be left unattended.
  6. Non toilet trained swimmers must wear swim diapers.
  7. No food or drinks are allowed in the baby pool.

Health Rules:

  1. Any person having a skin disease, sores, inflamed eyes, cold, nasal or ear discharge, or any communicable disease will be excluded from the pool.
  2. Spitting, blowing the nose, etc. in the pool is strictly prohibited.
  3. Swimmers shall wear swim suits only.
  4. Non toilet trained swimmers must wear swim diapers.
  5. Members are asked to help keep showers and pool area clean.
  6. No glass is allowed on the aquatic club property.
  7. No smoking on premises.

Please Remember:

Any person found guilty of violation of rules may be suspended from the pool.  The manager will handle all violations with the discretion of the Board.

All parents and adults at the pool are responsible for the enforcement of pool rules.  Violators should be reported to the pool manager or any board member.

Food Policies
  • There is a snack stand that serve a range of food.  You may set up a pre-paid account when you visit the snack stand.  We accept cash or Venmo.
  • You are welcome to bring your own food and drinks.  Glass containers are not allowed at the pool.
  • There are charcoal BBQ pits for grilling.  BBQ pits are available for a use on a first come, first serve basis.  Please bring your own coals and clean the pit when you are finished.


POOL PARTY INFORMATION

**Pool parties are only for Jefferson Terrace Aquatic Club members. We are NOT associated with the BREC Park System.**

All parties private and non- private should be booked through Tim Mercer at (225) 315-5196 

  • Private parties must be booked when the pool is normally closed.
  • Non-Private parties are when the pool is normally open,  however if you plan to have many children, Tim will have to know in advance to secure another lifeguard

Private Party Fees:

  • $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure the date of your party
  • $100 per hour pool rental fee (minimum of 2 hours) due the day of the party
  • $50 per hour for 2 lifeguards $25 per hour for additional Lifeguard per hour fee (this is due in cash the day of the party)

Pool rental fee and deposit can be cash or check, checks are made out to "JTAC".

Approximate number of swimming guest and ages is required (some large parties and/or younger swimmers may require a third lifeguard to be present at the cost of 18 additional dollars an hour.

You will have 20 minutes of set up time prior to the start of your party.  You will have access to refrigerators, freezer, and electrical outlets.  Concessions, however, are not open during private parties.

Swimmers must be out of the water promptly when the party ends or you will be charged for additional time.

Private parties are subject to all of the pool rules.  Two major rules to be aware of are no glass is allowed on the pool deck and the pool is cleared for both lightning and thunder.

If there is inclement weather the day of your party and you give notification that the party is cancelled, your $25 deposit can go towards picking out another date for your event.

Non-Private Party Fees:

Parties during pool hours are $5 per swimming guest, you are responsible for keeping up with the number of guest you have.  Please be courteous and let us know if you are expecting a large number of children as a third lifeguard may be needed.

We do not reserve tables or areas for non-private parties.  It is all on a first-come, first serve basis.

We do not refund or give rain checks for guest passes for inclement weather.
